Looking in the Mirror
James 1:21-25
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives,
and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts,
for it has the power to save your souls.
But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says.
Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
For if you listen to the word and don't obey,
it is like glancing at your face in the mirror.
You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you like.
But if you look carefully into the perfect law that set you free,
and if you do what is says and don't forget what you heard,
then God will bless you for doing it.
I believe this speaks for itself. read and let it soak into your whole body! God is good but you have to want him for anything to change!

Day 22
Scattering Seeds
Luke 8:5-8
"A farmer went out to plant his seeds.
As he scattered it across his field,
some seed fell on a footpath,
where it was stepped on, and birds ate it.
Other seed fell among rocks. It began to grow,
but the plant soon wilted and died for lack of moisture.
Other seed fell among thorns that grew up
with it and choked out the tender plants.
Still other seed fell on fertile soil.
This seed grew and produced a crop that
was a hundred times as much as had been planted!"
Do you ever feel this is your life? you go to church, you read the word, you do what you feel is Godly. Yet, you still don't get it. or you truly get it and you tell people about it and the don't get it.
Remember that if the soil is not healthy it will not take the water its been give. Keep yourself in the word, keep yourselves asking questions (and get answers), keep yourself around Godly people so your inter self can be filled.
God wants you to know that's why this book is ours to read and why there are people who believe that you can talk too!

Day 20/21
A Humble Heart
"Two men went tot the Temple to pray.
One was a Pharisee, and the other
was a despised tax collector.The Pharisee stood
by himself and prayed this prayer; 'I thank you,
God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else.
For I don't cheat, I don't sin, and
I don't commit adultery. I'm certainly not like t
hat tax collector! I fast twice a week,
and I give you a tenth of my income.
But the tax collector stood at a distance and
dared not even life his eyes to heaven as he prayed.
Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying,
'O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.'
I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee,
returned home justified before God. For those
who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those
who humble themselves will be exalted."
Do you feel cut off from God for the things you have done?
God wants you no matter your wrongs just wants you to humble yourself before him. None of us are better then the other God looks at us the same his love is not more for one then the other. If you go to him he will listen and love you just the same!
Today I found my relationship with God became closer. I went to him and was mad and angry and I told him just that " I am mad and angry! You need to fix this and NOW!" this went back a forth for a little while then I found myself feeling peace and I came to a humble place. said I was sorry. As I felt Him say "I am sorry too, you didn't give me the chance to explain" Wow God wanted to Explain yet in my yuckiness didn't even give Him the chance!

Day 19
Restore Wandering Believers
James 5:19-20
My dear brothers and sisters,
if someone among you wanders
away from the truth and is brought back,
you can be sure that whoever brings
the sinner back will save that person from
death and bring about the forgiveness
of many sins.
I believe that as a believer we should keep a good eye on all of our fellow believers. we need each others support. And by doing this we show others how loving and caring we can be!

Have the Attitude of Christ
Philippians 2:3-11
Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others.
Be humble, thinking of others as better then yourselves.
Don't look out only for your own interests,
but take an interest in others, too.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
Though he was God,
He did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human form,
he humbled himself in obedience
to God
and died a criminal's death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place
of highest honor
and gave him the name above all
other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
As we take a inventory of our life's, we must humbly admit our faults so we can began change in our destructive ways. Remember anything through Christ makes nothing impossible!

Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do.
Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds
anything we can understand. His peace will guard your
hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing.
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right,
and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received
from me-everything you heard from me and me doing.
Then God of peace will be with you.
True happiness can be found in everything when you just see that God is at work and control.

Living by the Spirit's Power

Don't be drunk with wine,
because that will ruin your life. Instead,
be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves,
and making music to the Lord in your hearts.
And give thanks for everything to
God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wow really thing about this let it soak in! God wants you to be happy and live life to the fullest without hurting yourself and others! Give thanks for even the small things!

END OF THE WORLD!

So today we've been told the world is coming to the end!
First I would like to say "DUH" each day we get closer to the end!
But I want you to know a couple of things;

angels in heaven or the Son himself.
Only the Father knows"

"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow
will bring its own worries.

Those who remain in me, and I in them,
will produce much fruit. For apart from
me you can do nothing. Anyone who does
not remain in me is thrown away like a
useless branch and withers. Such branches
are gathered into a pile to be burned.

Day 11
Ok so I think as a believer we have a hard time understanding why we should forgive, here are some reasons you need too!
Colossians 3:13
Make allowance for each other's faults,
and forgive anyone who offends you.
Remember, the Lord forgave you,
so you must forgive others.
Matthew 6:14-15
"If you forgive those who sin against you,
your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you refuse to forgive others,
your Father will not forgive your sins."
Mark 11:25
But when you are praying, first forgive
anyone you are holding a grudge against,
so that your Father in heaven will forgive
your sins, too
I believe that if you go to God praying without letting go of these wrong doing you feel about someone makes it harder for God to hear you!
Go to him with a clear mind so your words come to him clear!

Pressing toward a goal

Forgetting the past and looking
forward to what lies ahead.
I press on to reach the end of the
race and receive the heavenly prize

Christ Jesus, is calling us.

plain to you.
But we must hold on to the
progress we have already made.

Day 8
Isaish 53:4-5
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him
down.
And we thought his troubles were a
punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
Just a eye opener to just how much God loves us to allow!
just think about it would you ever want to go through what he did even for just 5 minutes I answer with a honest heart No! Not if I knew that you then again would keep up you bad ways!

Day 7
Today (or tonight) I want you to find verses in the Bible that you use when you need to believe in Trusting God more!
I am basing today off what i heard at church today. Thank you Doug!
So you have a drinking problem, drug problem, sex problem ,etc.....yet for some reason every time you bring it to God and pray healing on it these things still seem to happen and you are feeling like giving up would just be easier. well the thing you are missing is BELIEVE, yes I said it, you lack this and you know its true.When you hand this VICE to God do you
A. God in your name I am healed...."Well I don't feel different"
B. God in your name I am healed...."Well I still feel the crave, now what?"
C.God in your name I am healed...."I am feeling so much better, but I wont tomorrow watch!"
D. God in your name I am healed..."I feel great and will feel better and even better tomorrow Thank you Lord."
Most wont answer D and we all know why! We don't believe that God can or will heal us from whatever holds us back for enjoying life. We thing that if we ask he BETTER do it now or I NEED to feel different NOW. but is what is going on is he needs us to believe.
My saying is Believe in faith and have Faith in believing. Without one you can't have the other. we need to have faith in God more then we do ourselves because you will fail yourself. God will never fail you but you have to believe that is true.

Day 6
Life of the spirit
Romans 8:15-17
So you have not received a spirit that
makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received
Gods Spirit when he adopted you as
his own children. Now we call him,"Abba, Father."
For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that
we are God's children. And since we are his children,
we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are
heirs of God's glory. But if we are to share his glory,
we must also share his suffering.
Did you know back in these days you could kill your own son but you couldn't kill your adopted son it was against the law!
So we are His adopted children so nothing can break that bond ever! and we get everything Jesus was given when he went to heaven!
In this thought I want you to think about the things you hold so close to you (not living) and remember God has that times thousands in heaven as long as you believe and walk in/with him!

Listen to my cry for help, my king and my God,
for I pray to no one but you.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you
and wait expectantly.
So today I ask you do you stop and talk to Him daily.
How do you handle your relationship with God?
I've heard this a lot but the easiest way to handle this relationship is what would your ideal relationship look with the person your with....??
That how God wants us to come to him. open to talk about everything and come with honesty and an open heart!
Don't put God off till later take him with you tell him everything!

Day 4
Judgement and Bitter Roots
I did this in bible study yesterday and I believe the more I become closer to God the more I notice the amount I judge. so today I want to help you understand judgement and how to get rid of those bitter roots that hold on to your judgement.
1. Who is Judge?
God and only GOD
Psalm 50:6
Then Let the heavens proclaim his justice,
for God himself will be the judge.
John 8:15
Jesus speaking
You judge me by human standards, but I do not
judge anyone.
John 12:47
I will not judge those who hear me but don't obey me,
for I have come to save the world and not judge it.
Yes even Jesus is not aloud to judge us or anyone!
Can I judge others?
NO!
James 4:12
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge.
He alone has the power to save or to destroy.
So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
Matthew 7:1-2
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.
For you will be treated as you treat others.
The standard you use in judging is
the standard by which you will be judged.
John 7:51
Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?
What happens when I judge?
You are really only hurting yourself! most judgements are made because you are mad at yourself. or just need someone to point at for this problem.
Romans 2:1
You may think you can condemn such people,
but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse!
When you say they are wicked and should be punished,
you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others
do these very same things.
If I judge what should I do?
Ask for forgiveness and forget it!
James 4:17
Remember, it is a sin to know what you ought to
do and then not do it.

receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous
root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
Judgement in my eyes is "you speaking life into someone else's death"
Meaning that if you speak life into your anger, you then are speaking death into you and the person you have anger about!
Judging is you saying or feeling something and really not finding out whats really happening.
You really don't know their hearts only God does!

So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
Matthew 7:1-2
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.
For you will be treated as you treat others.
The standard you use in judging is
the standard by which you will be judged.
John 7:51
Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?
What happens when I judge?
You are really only hurting yourself! most judgements are made because you are mad at yourself. or just need someone to point at for this problem.
Romans 2:1
You may think you can condemn such people,
but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse!
When you say they are wicked and should be punished,
you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others
do these very same things.
If I judge what should I do?
Ask for forgiveness and forget it!
James 4:17
Remember, it is a sin to know what you ought to
do and then not do it.
Hebrews 12:15
Look after each other so that none of you fails to
receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous
root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
Judgement in my eyes is "you speaking life into someone else's death"
Meaning that if you speak life into your anger, you then are speaking death into you and the person you have anger about!
Judging is you saying or feeling something and really not finding out whats really happening.
You really don't know their hearts only God does!

Day 3
Faith brings joy
Romans 5:1,6-11
Therefore, since we have been made right in
God's sight by faith, we have peace with
God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has
done for us.
When we were utterly helpless, Christ
came at just the right time and died for us sinners.
Now, most people would not be willing
to die for an upright person, though someone
might perhaps be willing to die for a person
who is especially good. But God showed his
great love for us by sending Christ to die for
us while we were still sinners. And since we
have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ,
he will certainly save us from God's condemnation.
For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his
Son while we were still his enemies, we will
certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new
relationship with God because our Lord Jesus
Christ has made us friends of God.
God loved us so much, even though we really didn't deserve it and still don't. He sent his son to live just like us and die for us. So we could live better.
How many of you really rejoice in your new life and relationship with God?
Each day can be a battle but I enjoy this battle because my Lord God is right there with me. and I can and will make it the next day as long as I BELIEVE and have FAITH, and have FAITH to BELIEVE.
I want to leave you today with this
Psalm 103:1-5
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his
holy name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he
does for me.
He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender
mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle's!

Day 2
Warnigns against sin
Isaiah 59:1-8
Listen! the Lord's arm is not too weak to save you,
nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
it's your sins that have cut you off from God.
Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.
Your hands are the hands of murders,
and your fingers are filthy with sin.
Your lips are full of lies,
and your mouth spew corruption.
No one cares about being fair and honest.
the people's lawsuits are based on lies.
they conceive evil deeds
and give birth to sin.
They hatch deadly snakes
and weave spiders webs.
Whoever falls into their will die,
and there's danger even in getting near them.
Their webs can't be made into clothing,
and nothing they do is productive.
All their activity is filled with sin,
and violence is their trademark.
Their feet run to do evil,
and they rush to commit murder.
They think only about sinning.
Misery and destruction aways follow them.
They don't know where to find peace
or what it means to be just and good.
The have mapped out crooked roads,
and no one who follows them knows a moments peace.
Just an FYI I am reading Encouraging Words for the First 100 Days ( I wont always get our days from this book but, for sure did today)
This day made no sense to me when I first read it but, as I read more the author said "what keeps humans from GOD? Sins!"
I really would like input on this one. please read and post your feelings about today. I to am going to pray and look some more about today.

Day 1
From Paul's thanksgiving and prayer
Colossians 1:9-14
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness asnd transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
Paul wrote this letter to the Colossians to show them how to live as beleivers knowing they wouldn't know how to do it on their own. this to helps us as beleivers now day also!
Its amazing to me that as I feed my soul with Gods greatness I will live a better life (I am not saying life is EASIER then a non-believer but it is BETTER).
If you take the time to be thankful for all the things that happen for example rain, sun, the car starting, the food on your table, the smile someone just gave you...etc. you will feel more blessed then always living in the nagaitve things for example rain, being to hot, the car not starting, the lack of thing, the smile someone didn't give.
Now please tell me what you think about todays word!
