Day 77

Luke 16:14-18

The Message (MSG)

 14-18When the Pharisees, a money-obsessed bunch, heard him say these things, they rolled their eyes, dismissing him as hopelessly out of touch. So Jesus spoke to them: "You are masters at making yourselves look good in front of others, but God knows what's behind the appearance.

   What society sees and calls monumental,
      God sees through and calls monstrous.
   God's Law and the Prophets climaxed in John;
   Now it's all kingdom of God—the glad news
      and compelling invitation to every man and woman.
   The sky will disintegrate and the earth dissolve
      before a single letter of God's Law wears out.
   Using the legalities of divorce
      as a cover for lust is adultery;
   Using the legalities of marriage
      as a cover for lust is adultery.

Don't Get to high! your High horse will only take you down a path you and God didn't agree to go on! meaning bad things may happen! You remember that God loves you as much as he loves that man living in the back ally so why act like your better then him?

Day 76

Romans 8:26-28

 26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

I am amazed God knows us so well that he would know that so days we would not know how to come to Him that He would allow the Holy Spirit do it for us.
Thank You Lord for looking out for us!

Day 75

2 Timothy 2:22

New Living Translation (NLT)

 22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

2 Timothy 2:22

The Message (MSG)

 22-26Run away from infantile indulgence. Run after mature righteousness—faith, love, peace—joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God. Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights. God's servant must not be argumentative, but a gentle listener and a teacher who keeps cool, working firmly but patiently with those who refuse to obey. You never know how or when God might sober them up with a change of heart and a turning to the truth, enabling them to escape the Devil's trap, where they are caught and held captive, forced to run his errands.

Keep all of you ready for the Lord. Do not fall into the devils plan and do what is wrong. If your plans hurt someone else its not Godly.

Day 74

Isaiah 26

A Song of Praise to the Lord
 1 In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song:   Our city is strong!
      We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation.
 2 Open the gates to all who are righteous;
      allow the faithful to enter.
 3 You will keep in perfect peace
      all who trust in you,
      all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
 4 Trust in the Lord always,
      for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
 5 He humbles the proud
      and brings down the arrogant city.
      He brings it down to the dust.
 6 The poor and oppressed trample it underfoot,
      and the needy walk all over it.
 7 But for those who are righteous,
      the way is not steep and rough.
   You are a God who does what is right,
      and you smooth out the path ahead of them.
 8 Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws;
      our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.
 9 All night long I search for you;
      in the morning I earnestly seek for God.
   For only when you come to judge the earth
      will people learn what is right.
 10 Your kindness to the wicked
      does not make them do good.
   Although others do right, the wicked keep doing wrong
      and take no notice of the Lord’s majesty.
 11 O Lord, they pay no attention to your upraised fist.
      Show them your eagerness to defend your people.
   Then they will be ashamed.
      Let your fire consume your enemies.
 12 Lord, you will grant us peace;
      all we have accomplished is really from you.
 13 O Lord our God, others have ruled us,
      but you alone are the one we worship.
 14 Those we served before are dead and gone.
      Their departed spirits will never return!
   You attacked them and destroyed them,
      and they are long forgotten.
 15 O Lord, you have made our nation great;
      yes, you have made us great.
   You have extended our borders,
      and we give you the glory!
 16 Lord, in distress we searched for you.
      We prayed beneath the burden of your discipline.
 17 Just as a pregnant woman
      writhes and cries out in pain as she gives birth,
      so were we in your presence, Lord.
 18 We, too, writhe in agony,
      but nothing comes of our suffering.
   We have not given salvation to the earth,
      nor brought life into the world.
 19 But those who die in the Lord will live;
      their bodies will rise again!
   Those who sleep in the earth
      will rise up and sing for joy!
   For your life-giving light will fall like dew
      on your people in the place of the dead!
Restoration for Israel
 20 Go home, my people,
      and lock your doors!
   Hide yourselves for a little while
      until the Lord’s anger has passed.
 21 Look! The Lord is coming from heaven
      to punish the people of the earth for their sins.
   The earth will no longer hide those who have been killed.
      They will be brought out for all to see.

Just a day to really praise  the Lord! tell Him Thanks for everything BIG and SMALL!

Day 73

Galatians 5:16-26

The Message (MSG)

 16-18My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God's Spirit. Then you won't feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are antithetical, so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don't you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?
 19-21It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on.
   This isn't the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God's kingdom.
 22-23But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
 23-24Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified.
 25-26Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original.

Galatians 5:16-26

New Living Translation (NLT)
Living by the Spirit’s Power
 16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.
 19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

I gave Two different ways to look at this passage because this week in my life this is very important!
I wont give names but this week someone came into the house of God (really we were guests in someone else church, but could have happened anywhere) in to a group of believers sat down. As you looked into this person there was no peace about him, no love, nothing but anger and large amounts of it. as we prayed open this group this man stood up very quickly leaned over and asked this other man to go "talk" they both went upstairs and before you knew it you heard someone/something hit the floor and hard! yes someone did go to the hospital and someone will be going to jail. looking around the room after this happened some had no clue what happened but the people who did you could see the look of THIS WASN'T OK or LETS PRAY NOW on there faces. but on some faces you could almost see that bad kind of joy and peace, like the in there eyes justice was severed. I am sad to say this wasn't brought to the Holy Spirit before it happened. I feel these Godly people aloud anger to win this. the young man would have done this no matter what his heart wasn't in the right place, but the people who stood next to him are Men and Women of God yet you can see they helped this man plan this. There was no LOVE, NO KINDNESS, NO GOODNESS, NO GENTLENESS, AND NO SELF-CONTROL.

My point of today is to tell you Believers that there is a non-believer or a young/new Believer watching you don't act like a fool. it gives a false hope to these lost people. if you choose to act like a fool please bring it to God and make sure the people watching see you say sorry.

Day 72

James 1

Greetings from James
 1 This letter is from James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
   I am writing to the “twelve tribes”—Jewish believers scattered abroad.
   Greetings!
Faith and Endurance
 2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
 5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
 9 Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. 10 And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field. 11 The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls, and its beauty fades away. In the same way, the rich will fade away with all of their achievements.
 12 God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. 13 And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
 16 So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. 18He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.

James 1:5

The Message (MSG)

 5-8If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get his help, and won't be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who "worry their prayers" are like wind-whipped waves. Don't think you're going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.

God wants you to ask! remember that when you ask it will happen as He wants it to happen! He loves you and wants to have a great relationship with you but you have to want it in return and believe that He will and can!

Day 71

Matthew 11

Jesus and John the Baptist
 1 When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in towns throughout the region.
 2 John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, 3 “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”
 4 Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen—5 the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. 6 And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me.’”
 7 As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began talking about him to the crowds. “What kind of man did you go into the wilderness to see? Was he a weak reed, swayed by every breath of wind? 8 Or were you expecting to see a man dressed in expensive clothes? No, people with expensive clothes live in palaces. 9 Were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet. 10 John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say,
   ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you,
      and he will prepare your way before you.’]
 11 “I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is! 12 And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it. 13 For before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time. 14 And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come. 15 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!
 16 “To what can I compare this generation? It is like children playing a game in the public square. They complain to their friends,
 17 ‘We played wedding songs,
      and you didn’t dance,
   so we played funeral songs,
      and you didn’t mourn.’
 18 For John didn’t spend his time eating and drinking, and you say, ‘He’s possessed by a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man, on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners!’ But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.”
Judgment for the Unbelievers
 20 Then Jesus began to denounce the towns where he had done so many of his miracles, because they hadn’t repented of their sins and turned to God. 21 “What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse. 22 I tell you, Tyre and Sidon will be better off on judgment day than you.
 23 “And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in wicked Sodom, it would still be here today. 24 I tell you, even Sodom will be better off on judgment day than you.”
Jesus’ Prayer of Thanksgiving
 25 At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. 26 Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!
 27 “My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
 28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Doubt is troubling. We doubt ourselves, and we doubt others. Even John the Baptist doubted Jesus. Jesus had to point out everything he was doing to John but, Jesus does this same thing to us. We ask and he does. but how many of you have seen these great things and still doubt Him? I sometimes have to remember that Jesus never doubts me and He is the only one who really believes in faith in me and also has faith in believing me so why can't I show Him that back?
"No body needs to tell me to love God" Doug
Isn't great that you can love God without someone telling you too? But why do so many of you do it behind closed doors? So many people are missing out on how great God is because people can't see through your shut door. Think about it.
Day 70
2 Corinthians 2:5-8
Forgiveness for the Sinner
 5 I am not overstating it when I say that the man who caused all the trouble hurt all of you more than he hurt me. 6 Most of you opposed him, and that was punishment enough. 7 Now, however, it is time to forgive and comfort him. Otherwise he may be overcome by discouragement. 8 So I urge you now to reaffirm your love for him.
God wants to forgive but wants us to also forgive. its a good way to show our love in God to others!
Day 69
Luke 11:5-13
New Living Translation (NLT)
 5 Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this story: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You say to him, 6 ‘A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat.’ 7 And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.’ 8 But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.]
 9 “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
 11 “You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! 13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”
Luke 11:5-13
The Message (MSG)
 5-6Then he said, "Imagine what would happen if you went to a friend in the middle of the night and said, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread. An old friend traveling through just showed up, and I don't have a thing on hand.'
 7"The friend answers from his bed, 'Don't bother me. The door's locked; my children are all down for the night; I can't get up to give you anything.'
 8"But let me tell you, even if he won't get up because he's a friend, if you stand your ground, knocking and waking all the neighbors, he'll finally get up and get you whatever you need.
 9"Here's what I'm saying:
   Ask and you'll get;
   Seek and you'll find;
   Knock and the door will open.
 10-13"Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we're in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn't think of such a thing—you're at least decent to your own children. And don't you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?"
Believe and have faith in what you ask and He will take care of the rest!
Day 68
Titus 3:1-5
He Put Our Lives Together
1-2Remind the people to respect the government and be law-abiding, always ready to lend a helping hand. No insults, no fights. God's people should be bighearted and courteous. 3-8It wasn't so long ago that we ourselves were stupid and stubborn, dupes of sin, ordered every which way by our glands, going around with a chip on our shoulder, hated and hating back. But when God, our kind and loving Savior God, stepped in, he saved us from all that. It was all his doing; we had nothing to do with it. He gave us a good bath, and we came out of it new people, washed inside and out by the Holy Spirit. Our Savior Jesus poured out new life so generously. God's gift has restored our relationship with him and given us back our lives. And there's more life to come—an eternity of life! You can count on this.
Remember this, God doesn't want us to act as if we're better then everyone, he wants us just to act better. to show others how to love and be good.
Day 67
Hebrews 11:1-10
Great Examples of Faith
 1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. 3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
 4 It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith.
 5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“he disappeared, because God took him.”[a] For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God. 6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
 7 It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.
 8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. 9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Just wanted to point out how important it is to have faith and believe and believe in faith!
God is good. Let him do his job!
Day 66
1 John 5:11-15
The Message (MSG)
 11-12This is the testimony in essence: God gave us eternal life; the life is in his Son. So, whoever has the Son, has life; whoever rejects the Son, rejects life.
The Reality, Not the Illusion
 13-15My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God's Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he's listening. And if we're confident that he's listening, we know that what we've asked for is as good as ours.
1 John 5:11-15
New Living Translation (NLT)
 11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.
Conclusion
 13 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. 14 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
Remember He knows your heart yet He still waits for you to tell Him whats on your heart before He'll make a clear path for you! Just like in a healthy relationship you can't receive love if you aren't giving it back.
Day 65
2 Corinthians 7:8-12
The Message
 8-9I know I distressed you greatly with my letter. Although I felt awful at the time, I don't feel at all bad now that I see how it turned out. The letter upset you, but only for a while. Now I'm glad—not that you were upset, but that you were jarred into turning things around. You let the distress bring you to God, not drive you from him. The result was all gain, no loss.
 10Distress that drives us to God does that. It turns us around. It gets us back in the way of salvation. We never regret that kind of pain. But those who let distress drive them away from God are full of regrets, end up on a deathbed of regrets.
 11-13And now, isn't it wonderful all the ways in which this distress has goaded you closer to God? You're more alive, more concerned, more sensitive, more reverent, more human, more passionate, more responsible. Looked at from any angle, you've come out of this with purity of heart. And that is what I was hoping for in the first place when I wrote the letter. My primary concern was not for the one who did the wrong or even the one wronged, but for you—that you would realize and act upon the deep, deep ties between us before God. That's what happened—and we felt just great.
What things have brought you closer to God? What things happen in your life do you run to the feet of Jesus? How many things make you run to God and also keep you with Him? Why is it we only trust Him when we are face down in yuckiness yet when things get better we tend to forget and walk away! I can't imagine what God feels when he knows His children just use Him and then throw Him out when things seem ok in our life!
Day 64
Titus 3:1-11
Do What Is Good
 1 Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. 2 They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. 3 Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.
 4 But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, 5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.[a] 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. 7Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” 8 This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.
 9 Do not get involved in foolish discussions about spiritual pedigrees[b] or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Jewish laws. These things are useless and a waste of time. 10 If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. 11 For people like that have turned away from the truth, and their own sins condemn them.
I believe to many times we forget how easy it is just to be good and do what is right!
Day 63
1 Peter 4:1-19
New Living Translation (NLT)
1 Peter 4
Living for God
 1 So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.2 You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God. 3 You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. 4 Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. 5 But remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead. 6 That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead—so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.]
 7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. 8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.
 10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
Suffering for Being a Believer
 12 Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. 14 So be happy when you are insulted for being a Christian, for then the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you. 15 If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs. 16 But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name! 17 For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News? 18 And also,
   “If the righteous are barely saved,
      what will happen to godless sinners?”]
 19 So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.
We've never been told its easy! But we were all told that change is good and this is how to do it! God is a gentlemen and knows that we are weak acting and we care a lot about what other people think about what we look like! so He took it upon Himself to give us this tool book to help through everything! take time to read it and you will see a new man in God and you'll learn that he isn't what the world said AT ALL!
Day 62
Psalm 27:1-6
New Living Translation (NLT)
Psalm 27
A psalm of David.
 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—
      so why should I be afraid?
   The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
      so why should I tremble?
 2 When evil people come to devour me,
      when my enemies and foes attack me,
      they will stumble and fall.
 3 Though a mighty army surrounds me,
      my heart will not be afraid.
   Even if I am attacked,
      I will remain confident.
 4 The one thing I ask of the Lord
      the thing I seek most—
   is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
      delighting in the Lord’s perfections
      and meditating in his Temple.
 5 For he will conceal me there when troubles come;
      he will hide me in his sanctuary.
      He will place me out of reach on a high rock.
 6 Then I will hold my head high
      above my enemies who surround me.
   At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy,
      singing and praising the Lord with music.
Psalm 27:1-6
The Message (MSG)
Psalm 27
A David Psalm
 1 Light, space, zest— that's God!
   So, with him on my side I'm fearless,
      afraid of no one and nothing.
 2 When vandal hordes ride down
      ready to eat me alive,
   Those bullies and toughs
      fall flat on their faces.
 3 When besieged,
      I'm calm as a baby.
   When all hell breaks loose,
      I'm collected and cool.
 4 I'm asking God for one thing,
      only one thing:
   To live with him in his house
      my whole life long.
   I'll contemplate his beauty;
      I'll study at his feet.
 5 That's the only quiet, secure place
      in a noisy world,
   The perfect getaway,
      far from the buzz of traffic.
 6 God holds me head and shoulders
      above all who try to pull me down.
   I'm headed for his place to offer anthems
      that will raise the roof!
   Already I'm singing God-songs;
      I'm making music to God.
I put two ways of reading this up today because sometimes we need to look at Gods word from different ways. There are time that we find we run to God when we need Him to fix or take something from us. As your growth in God becomes stronger you find that when you go to God its because you want Him near. You start to crave the Feeling of joy He gives us when we are near!
How do you crave God and do you call upon Him for all things or just the things you feel you can't do alone?
Day 61
MATTHEW 6:5-13
 When you pray, don’t be like the
hypocrites who love to pray publicly
on street corners and in the
synagogues where everyone can see them.
I tell you the truth, that is all the
reward they will ever get. But when you pray,
go away by yourself, shut the door behind you,
and pray to your Father in private.
Then your Father, who sees everything,
will reward you.
 “When you pray, don’t babble on and on
as people of other religions do. They
think their prayers are answered merely
by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them,
for your Father knows exactly what
you need even before you ask him!Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need,
and forgive us our sins,
as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
And don’t let us yield to temptation,
but rescue us from the evil one.c
Pray to Him as if He was your best friend! remember he loves and hurts 10times more then we could ever know so listen to Him and feel Him and learn to understand that He to Loves you!
